Express Entry and Provincial Nomination

If you have education, experience in a skilled job or trade, good knowledge of English or French you can immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker or tradesperson through Express Entry. Express Entry is based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which evaluates applications based on information in their profile on the IRCC website. Scores for Express Entry are calculated based on few factors:

  • Education
  • Ability to speak English or French
  • Work experience
  • Occupation
  • Job offer supported by a positive labour market impact assessment
  • Provincial nomination
  • Education background of the applicant’s spouse

A nomination form a province can significantly increase your CRS score as well as give you an option to immigrate through that province.

Self-employed Class

If you have relevant experience in cultural activities or athletics, you can immigrate as a self-employed person. This is a longer and more expensive path but it definitely has its advantages especially for dancers, musicians, and athletes. Contact us for details on this immigration program.
